POSTER CONTEST RULES
Congratulations to Shane Molina, winner of the Hawaiicon 2018 Poster Competition!
Calling all Hawaiian Islands artists to participate in the Hawaiicon poster art contest, celebrating the HawaiiCon Fan Convention! We are looking for posters that support the Hawaiicon mission of "STEAM Education through Science Fiction, Science, and Culture on the Big Island".
Submissions for 11” by 17” color and gray-scale posters are being accepted between now and May 15. Anyone living in the state of Hawai’i may submit. If you are under 18, you’ll need an adult’s permission.
The winning entry receives two 4-day HawaiiCon passes and the winning entry may be used as a Hawaiicon collectable poster.
REQUIRED SPECIFICATIONS: 11” x 17” portrait poster in .PDF, .PNG, or .JPG that clearly displays at least the following information: (i) HawaiiCon.com; (ii) September 26-29, 2019; (iii) Kona Sheraton; and (iv) some marks identifying the poster’s creator(s).
The final poster eventually needs to be available in at least 600 dpi, but lower resolution submissions are preferable for judging submission. Any submission implies full permission for HawaiiCon to use the entry in full or in part with credit but without compensation in any manner. Judges decisions are final.
Please avoid mature-themed images as posters are intended to be displayed for the general public of all ages. More information about HawaiiCon and its current year guests can be found online at HawaiiCon.com and questions about contest submissions should be directed to Tim@HawaiiCon.com. A winner will be announced in July.
