Jacqueline Seaquist - Communications and Public Outreach Officer
For the past 22 years, she has promoted theater education through her position as Artistic Director and Program Coordinator of the Performing Arts Learning Center at Hilo High School.
David Steiner - HawaiiCon Chief Financial Officer
Owner of Hawaii White Mountain LLC coffee company, David has farmed coffee on the Hamakua Coast for over a decade. He also serves as the Treasurer for the Waimea Mid-Week Market at Pukalani Stables.
Jessica Gauthier - HawaiiCon Convention Operations Officer
A serial entrepreneur and published creative writer, Jessica has owned several successful companies including her project Berlin's Walls Decorative Painting. She is currently a broker with Elite Pacific Properties.Director of Vendor Sales and Tech Operations
Dave Minkus - Director of Vendor Sales and Tech Operations
In 2014, after 20 years in bay area tech and another 10 in Hawaii, Dave left the North Hawaii Community Hospital as their IT Director and decided it was time to use both his people and his technical skills to help people to find and sell their homes. So he became a Real Estate Agent where he met Jessica Gauthier - who invited him to be on the board for this “thing” called HawaiiCon. Dave has been in charge of the Vendors and Artist Alley and of course - technical operations for HawaiiCon 2014, 2015 and 2016…..When Dave isn't talking about Real Estate and technology, he is golfing, fishing, or hanging out at the beach living the Hawaii Life! His favorite shows are BSG and TNG and of course he thinks SW Episode 4 was the greatest movie of all time!
Chewy Kane - Volunteer Coordinator & Celebrity Guest Liaison
Chewy brings to HawaiiCon an extensive background in production work. Over the past 22 years, she has helped facilitate and organize events for the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival, Willie K’s Maui Tribe, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, Kalani Honua, and Kalapana Food Club. She has been with HawaiiCon since the beginning in 2014. While she might be a padawan in specific knowledge about SciFi and Fantasy, she has an uncanny ability to make awesome sh*t happen. When she’s not corralling humans and coordinating disparate moving parts at various events, you can find Chewy playing volleyball, at the beach, or running her successful Airbnb on the land where she's lived for 17 years in lower Puna. Brandon Hendricks - Director of Integrated Marketing
A graduate from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a Bachlors in Computer Science. His goal is to one day become a Video Game Programmer and make his own games which will not only change the way we play games today but the way games are viewed in our every day life.
Jeremy Wilson - Game Room Program Director
Jeremy Wilson is the president of The Guild of Games (HCC), a student gaming organization By trade he is a paraprofessional, game illustrator, and CMV operator/trainer. Jeremy moved to Hawaii in 2009 from Missouri with his wife Adrienne and daughter Autumn and his son Draco was born in Hilo in 2012. Jeremy is a regular GM at the local game store Game Knights and a co-founder and local organizer of Big Island Adventurer’s League. Jeremy became a part of Hawaiicon in 2014.
Kahuliau Kaai - Game Room Staff Director
Kahuliau Kaai is currently a 4th year student at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, pursuing a degree in Business Management. Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, in the town of Kohala, he moved to Hilo for college. When he is not studying, he spends his time working 2 jobs, playing various video/tabletop/card games, or just kicking back and watching movies with his girlfriend. He is the front house manager for the UH Hilo Preforming Arts Center, Vice Chair of UH Hilo Board of Media Broadcasting and the president of the Guild of Games (UH Hilo Branch). Kahuliau enjoys being an active member and leader in the Hilo DnD and card gaming communities. He serves as a DM for the Adventures League and is hoping to soon become an official Busiroad judge for Cardfight Vanguard! Kahuliau has been following Hawaiicon since its inception in 2014 and has been a part of the Hawaiicon family since its second year.
