What events are happening at the Convention?
The convention schedule is organized into simultaneous parallel tracks with speakers, guest star question and answer sessions (Q&A’s), expert panel discussions, fan panel discussions, artist showcases, role playing games, costume contests, school group activities, and so, so much more. Every hour, you can choose to do something different or focus on a single track - at HawaiiCon the choice is yours AND you can change your mind! There is even a giant vendor hall so you can purchase your favorite art and commemorative items. There are simply too many things to list here!

Who comes to the convention?
You do! HawaiiCon is our inclusive gathering of science fiction fans, comic book enthusiasts, creative cosplayers, anime followers, avid gamers, future-envisioning authors, cultural practitioners, Geek-film featurette creators, comic and fantasy artists, authors, screen writers and Hollywood’s science fiction producers, voice actors, and movie/television stars, along with vendors, musicians, teachers, students, scientists, and popular culture & science fiction scholars.
How can I upgrade my (ticket/membership) from a single day to the full-weekend?

How do I register for HawaiiCon?
You can register for online anytime year round online or at the registration desk. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Will you mail my tickets or do I pick them up at the con?
You will pick up your ticket at the convention from the convention center registration desk (not the hotel lobby registration desk). The convention registration desk opens at noon on Thursday and remains open each day through Sunday afternoon
Are tickets available for purchase at the event?
YES (cash and credit accepted), and we highly recommend purchasing online BEFORE the event to avoid lines.
Where do I go for Tours?
If you’re paid and registered for a Tour, you will receive an email with detailed instructions. Otherwise, get more information at the convention registration desk (not the hotel lobby registration desk).
Do the movies & dinners cost extra?
Nearly all celebrity Q&A, panel discussions, artist presentations, and gaming events are FREE to Pass holders! However some special ticketed events like the BBQ and celebrity gaming do cost extra, while the other evening activities will have some extra costs, like our cash bar.
Can I still buy add on events?
Yes, some special ticketed-only events (meet &greets, tours, photo ops) are available online for purchase or at the registration desk. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
Can I take photos of the guests?
Stars may be photographed in the Panel rooms during their scheduled talks ONLY! (Only officially con-contracted photographers may take photos of stars at any time.)
Hundreds of photos will be available after the event on social media pages, as well as your own photos and selfies with the stars you can purchase during the scheduled Walk of Fame and on tours.
Where do I go for Autographs and what’s the cost?
Guests are scheduled to sign Autographs and take Photographs (called Photo-Ops) in the Walk of Fame. Each star charges a different amount and usually they only take cash only. Some stars post a sign that they autograph items for keiki for free!

Who is Keiki Track for?
Keiki Track if for our keikis (children) and their ohana (families).
Can I drop my child off for a Keiki Track event?
No. Children 12 and under need to be supervised at all times at HawaiiCon. We try to make Keiki Track ohana friendly so adults have fun as well at all Keiki Track events.
Do I have to pay for Keiki Track activities?
Donations are always welcomed at Keiki Track! Some Keiki Track activities do have a small fee, which are clearly marked on the program schedule. All other Keiki Track programming is free unless clearly stated.
Is my child old enough for Keiki Track activities?
We welcome everyone to all our Keiki Track activities; however, some Keiki Track activities will be more difficult for the young keikis to accomplish, so we will have age suggestions on the program and schedule.

HawaiiCon is the place to get your game on! Whether you are a high-level wizard looking for role playing adventures or a brand new never-ever, the HawaiiCon game room is the place for you! Some games are scheduled whereas others are drop-in anytime. Come by the game room for a detailed schedule of events and try your hand at something new!
How do I get to the convention venue?
Our beautiful hotel venue is located on the Kona coast just south of town. We’re about 15-minutes south of the KOA airport. Just tell your smart phone you need directions to the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay, 78-128 Ehukai St, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.
Where do I park and is it free?
Parking is free and available to everyone, however parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged!
